GGC Alumni Mentoring Program For Student Peer Mentors

The GGC alumni mentoring program is coming back for Fall 2025! GGC has instituted a student peer to peer mentoring program and, in collaboration with GGC Student Success, alumni can sign up to mentor the student peer mentor for a "train the trainer" type experience.

The goal of the program is to provide student mentors with the unique opportunity to connect with alumni who have experienced life at GGC. These alumni can offer valuable insights and guidance to help student mentors navigate their own GGC journey while also mentoring a fellow student. The program will run throughout the academic year 2025-2026, and we ask both mentors and mentees to commit to participating for the entire academic year.

Mentor Requirements:
- Set clear and realistic goals with your mentee and be responsive by returning emails, texts or calls in a timely manner.
- Engage with mentees at least twice a month in person or virtually
- Provide feedback to your mentee in a thoughtful and constructive manner.
